Looking for a new spot to ride longboards in Toronto downtown? Check out Christie Pitts which is great 24 hours. The south east side has a fresh paved access road and in the Pitt is an empty wading pool for getting dizzy :) a great spot for all level riders to practice and session.

Swap Meet 2013

Big thanks to Roarockit and all the skaters who participated in today's swap meet. Lots of great gear was up for grabs at wicked prices. Also a few product launches and one off items.

Longboard living was selling some old stock that was traded into good hands for a new skate season.

Sneak Peek: Longboard Living x Napalm Decks

A few months ago at the Upwards and Onwards showcase with Jimmy Chiale, the idea came up to do a collaboration with Matthew Napier, Master builder for Napalm Decks. In order to showcase the available work by Napes and custom longboard painting by Longboard Living artist Jimmy Chiale it somehow seemed like a good idea to paint on top of some extremely rare carbon. Its normal use is to line the inside of Rolls Royce jet engines, so why not a longboard? The deck is sure to be a show stopper and will be complete with custom built trucks by GFT. There are a few more surprises set up for this piece. Here are a few pics to tie you over.

Longboard Living x The New Beat

Longboard Living has begun a multi-dimensional video project to capture the the birth and growth of the lifestyle brand. The video will be used for online branding and an ongoing medium to track progress, product, team riders and the skills of The New Beat crew.

The first set of footage has been shot in Toronto and is currently being edited. It gives viewers a glimpse of what it is like to ride through the cities neighborhoods and around major landmarks, as well as documentary style interview content.

As this project continues, we will focus on capturing more intense riding and technical moves to show the limitless potential of urban longboarding.

I met with david last spring while he was selling his art in Yorkville. He liked the concept of the Mobile Canvas and agreed to collaborate on a series. Tonight is Nuit Blanch in Toronto. A night when the city of Toronto becomes an art gallery full of installations and open gallery doors welcoming swarms of people into the mystical art world.
